Aspen Hysys simulation of the methanol synthesis based on gas from biomass gasification

From the gasification of biomass, produced gas mainly consists CO, H2, CO2, and CH4. After cleaning conditioning, syngas obtained can be used to produce methanol, dimethyl ether, polymers, biofuels, etc. Methanol is one important industrial chemicals that directly as a fuel or blended into conventional fuels. from renewable biomass sources limit greenhouse emissions. Based on data composition experiments simulations fluidized bed reactor at University South-Eastern Norway, methanol process simulated with Aspen Hysys. It desirable assess how different parameters affect yield production. A Gibbs was modeled three gas-phase exothermic reactions. The product depressurized separate liquid. liquid enters distillation column give CH3OH in distillate water bottom product. evaluated regard pressure, temperature, H2/CO ratio. theoretical ratio for synthesis should approximately between 1,5-2. However, compositions were types fluidizing agents reactor, low gives methanol. Fluidized steam gasifying agent preferable increase higher yield.
